Bachelor Mess Manager is a full-stack web application developed to simplify the management of bachelor mess operations. The system allows users to record daily meal entries, track shopping (bazar) expenses, calculate individual member costs, generate monthly reports, and maintain historical data. By automating calculations and organizing records, it minimizes manual errors, improves transparency among mess members, and significantly reduces the time required for monthly expense settlements.
Story Behind This Project Recently, I moved into a bachelor mess where I noticed that everyone was maintaining meals, bazar expenses, monthly costs, and member balances manually using notebooks and handwritten records. Every month, calculating who owed what became a time-consuming process, and mistakes were quite common. Seeing this everyday challenge inspired me to build a digital solution that could simplify their work. Although the problem may seem small from an outside perspective, I realized it affected everyone in the mess every single day. This project was my attempt to solve a real problem for the people around me while also improving my software development skills by building something with practical value. For me, the satisfaction comes from creating software that people can actually use, no matter how simple the problem may appear.

A personal blog and project portfolio built with NestJS and TypeScript, deployed to an AWS EC2 instance by a Jenkins pipeline that runs on every push. Docker builds the image, the tests run inside that image, and a named volume keeps posts, projects and uploaded photos alive when the container is replaced. It includes a Markdown editor with drafts and scheduling, a searchable project portfolio, an About page with a photo gallery, and an image pipeline that resizes on demand and builds social preview cards.
